THE Wimmera experienced a wet weekend, with good rain falling across the region. Bureau of Meteorology data shows Horsham received 22.8 millimetres of rain on Saturday, making it a wet day for weekend sport. Nhill and Edenhope both received 14.4mm on Saturday, Longerenong received 17.8mm, Warracknabeal received 12mm, Stawell received 21mm and Ararat received 28mm. Horsham received 62.4mm for the month, making it the wettest June in six years. The previous wettest June was when the city received 77.6mm in 2013. The bureau released its latest climate outlook on Thursday, which showed it was unlikely the region would receive above average rainfall from July to September. The bureau predicts there is a 72 per cent chance Horsham will receive at least 100mm in the next three months, and a 30 per cent chance it will receive at least 150mm. The average rainfall between July and September is 147mm.
