After a hard slog out with the Storm, on an oval full of water co-coach Scott Carey said the loss was a set back for the season.
"Obviously, Saturday wasn't what we were after," he said.
"Numbers on the training track are picking up and the attitude is getting to where we want it to be.
"Hopefully that rolls into how we play our games on a Saturday."
Swifts will head to Natimuk to take on Natimuk United in this week's round 12 clash.
Sitting neck and neck on 32 points each, it's a must win for either club to keep the second position in sight.
"It's going to be another week heavy underfoot," Carey said.
"Hopefully we can adjust quicker than what we did last week and put pressure on the scoreboard.
"I think the team will go in unchanged, which will be the first time this season which will give us some stability."
Carey said the first game against Natimuk-United in the first round was a fast-paced game.
"I don't expect this week to be any different - we will go in prepared and ready for a solid contest," he said.
Swifts A Grade netball team will go into this weekend's game unchanged.
"This week will be a tough game for the girls but I have full confidence that we can challenge Natimuk and give then a good run," coach Courtney Morrow said.
"The last couple of weeks we have been playing much better as a team and winning games so I'm confident we will see a huge improvement from the first time we went up against them.
"Like every week, I am looking for the girls to really push themselves and dig into their self-belief and play out the four quarters."
