Lately I've been thinking about kindness and how the world would be a much nicer place if everyone were a little kinder to one another.

If people were kind they would also be showing each other love.
The bible states "let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law."
The commandments "you shall not commit adultery," "you shall not murder," "you shall not steal," "you shall not covet," and whatever other commands there may be, are summed up by "love your neighbour as yourself" (Romans 13:8-9).
If people were kind we also wouldn't have violence, hatred, bullying or anger.
Kindness, love and even joy and peace are opposite to violence and hate.
Kindness is also easy and free, like smiling at someone, giving them a hug or saying thank you; simple yet effective ways of being kind to one another.
It also could be as simple as making a meal for someone who is struggling, buying someone a coffee, taking someone to a movie or simply listening to someone's concerns.
One small act of kindness can create a ripple effect with no logical end.
Kindness can have the same result. It only takes one person to be kind then the person who received kindness shows someone else kindness and so on.
Small acts of kindness are how we change the world and make it a better place.
I would like to end with a quote from Mother Teresa ... "People are often unreasonable and self-centred forgive them anyway. If you are kind, people may accuse you of ulterior motives, be kind anyway. If you are honest people may cheat you, be honest anyways. If you find happiness people may be jealous, be happy anyway. The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow, do good anyway. Give the world the best you have and it may never be enough, give your best anyway. For you see, in the end it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway."
