Horsham Saints' Maggie Caris and Ararat's Ella Wood and Isabella Simmons celebrated their first win with the under-18 side.
Simmons impressed, kicking a goal in the 9.7 (61) to 3.1 (19) victory against Queensland at Metricon Stadium.
At Southport Oval, Horsham's Ben Hobbs and Horsham Saints' Sam Breuer's under-16 team suffered a tight 5.12 (42) to 9.8 (44) loss against Western Australia.
Hobbs was a stand-out, racking up 29 disposals and 10 tackles in a productive outing.
Both sides play their last games of the national championships in Queensland.
The under-18 side next plays the Eastern Allies on Wednesday afternoon at Southport, before taking on Western Australia at Bond University on Friday.
The under-16 team is seeking its first win of the championships against South Australia at the Gabba on Friday afternoon.
