The Hamilton Pastoral and Agricultural Society has always ensured that Sheepvention provides plenty of free educational experiences.
This year, school students and children can participate in a range of competitions, including the school inventions, photography competition, scarecrow competition, junior judging and more.
Younger kids can take part in a day of activities in the muster trail, while preschool and primary students can dance to George the Farmer and The Mik Maks during Sheepvention in The Home Paddock Pavilion.
While there, they can partake in some of the activities hosted by community groups such as knitting and felting, cake decorating, seeing the wood turning, or just visiting the Children's Farmers Market.
Sophie Thompson will also be on hand with The Edible Garden, where children can make eco-friendly pot plants and fill them with edible plants.
Down the road is the Producers Pavilion, another mecca for children, schools and families.
Highlights include the goat dairy with cheese making demonstrations, Coles' bakery with workshops on making bread rolls, beeswax wrap creations, and ice cream making/tasting thanks to Golden North Ice Cream.
There is also a Lego robotics workshops in the Innovations Pavilion, along with a heap of new tech and demonstrations which is sure to fascinate students.
Secondary students are invited to partake in a new experience, The Sheepvention Careers Expo.
A career's trail map will be available, listing the sites providing advice on career paths in their business type, apprenticeships or entry level career opportunities.
A stage program in the CRT Innovations Hub will cover careers from health, hospitality, agriculture, policing, design and technology, education and much more.
