Co-ordinator Sally Pymer said the 31-day challenge was introduced to Wimmera residents four years ago.
"The taskforce is often focusing on no alcohol, no drugs. So we thought of taking a step back to preventative health factors which help improve people's health," she said.
"All the things in the challenge should hopefully reduce the chances of taking up alcohol and other drugs.
"If people can finish these little challenges, then they might be able to set bigger challenges for themselves."
Mrs Pymer said the challenge would involve doing different activities each day of the month - from walking the block, to writing positive comments.
Mrs Pymer said the activities called on people to focus on their physical and mental health.
She said those registered would be given a calendar of tasks.
"If people have registered for the challenge, they would be contacted just to find out how they have gone," she said.
Mrs Pymer said participant feedback would help evaluate the outreach and success of the challenge and plan for following years.
She said people could call her on 53621200 or email sally.p@grampianscommunityhealth.org.au to register for the challenge.
