With the sides locked on 40 points apiece, the victorious team is likely to secure themselves a spot in the finals, while the loser will find it almost impossible to regain a spot in the top-six.
Storm coach Daniel Batson said they were acutely aware of what was at stake.
"We're treating this as our first elimination final," Batson said. "If we lose, it's going to be very hard to scrape back into the top six."
Jeparit-Rainbow's advantage of 60 percentage points will amount to very little if they lose to the 2018 grand finalists. If the Storm lose, they would need to upset Harrow-Balmoral, and hope Kalkee lose to Natimuk United in the final round of the season.
Batson said the Storm would back themselves in.
"We're the second best defence in the competition at the moment, so we won't put anything in particular in place on Saturday," he said.
"Obviously it might be a bit wet too, so all those factors will have to come into it."
One player that might help the Storm's case would be travelling key-forward Ben Warren. Warren has played just four games this season but has booted a whopping 29 goals.
"Ben is a week-to-week proposition based on his work, so we'll find out if he is available closer to game day," Batson said mid-week.
"But it's just that time of the year when everyone has to pull together and try to play their best footy, no matter who we have on in the team."
