In a statement on social media, the organisation said the bogus notices were being circulated around Horsham, including on Wilson Street on Friday.
"Genuine HRCC infringement notices will always have our logo and a contact name and phone number," the body said.
"If you are in doubt about what's real or fake, bring your ticket in to our Customer Service team for clarification."
The Mail-Times has contacted the council for further information on the fake notices.
Horsham Sergeant Steve Gray said nothing had been reported to police at this stage.
More to come.
