Flynn has been part of the Giants from day one. Starting his footy out with Hopetoun, he has become a leader in the junior ranks. He's been joining in with senior football training over the last couple of seasons, where he has taken the next step of his football development.
His leadership amongst his peers is evident on and off the field. He has now had some experience of senior football, often playing reserves when he can.
Harry McLean is in his fourth season of football for the Southern Mallee Giants after beginning his junior football with Woomelang-Lascelles.
Starting out in the under 14s, Harry has progressed through to the under 17s and become a familiar face around the club.
Harry is a dedicated footballer who rarely misses a training session, usually one of the first to arrive.
He possesses very good skills and doesn't often waste his use of the ball. Harry's family is strongly involved in volunteering their time and this shows as you will often find Harry boundary umpiring or running water for the senior grades.
Keep working on your football, Harry. You are a valued member of the juniors and we look forward to seeing that transpire into the senior grades. You are a positive role model for your teammates.
The Southern Mallee Giants congratulate Flynn and Harry on sharing the Blue Ribbon Foundation Spirit of Football Award.
