AFTER a fine Saturday full of the promise of spring, the region has been thrust back into winter.
Monday morning brought a dumping of snow to the Grampians again, after the overnight temperature fell to -2.6 degrees at Mount William.
Ararat had a milder but still frosty low of 2.8 degrees, and Stawell had a low of 3.3 degrees.
In Horsham the temperature plunged again, with an overnight low of 0.9 degrees.
Across all three towns the weather is expected to stay in the low teens for the rest of the week.
