But first, she will return to the Wimmera on Sunday to help Wimmera Healthcare Group - Friends of the Foundation raise money for the hospitals in Horsham and Dimboola.
Ms Laursen-Habel will perform the show, A Celebration of Spring at Horsham Town Hall from 5pm to 7pm, with all money raised going to the Wimmera Healthcare Group Foundation.
"I have a passion for making opera and classical music more accessible - especially for rural audiences - as there isn't much opportunity for classical music concerts coming to Horsham, so I wanted to provide that and give an entry point to classical music with a mix of theatre, religious and Australian songs," she said.
Ms Laursen-Habel is completing her honours degree in classical voice at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music while joining Opera Scholars Australia for their 2019-20 season. In 2018 she performed as Yum-Yum in The Mikado by Gilbert and Sullivan.
"It's going to take a little while for my voice to mature, but becoming a professional opera singer is definitely the path I'd like to be on," she said.
Tickets for the show cost $25 and are available from the town hall.
Friend of the foundation Robyn Lardner said the event was made possible through Creativity Funding from the University of Melbourne Ignite-Lab, which Ms Laursen-Habel was successful in attaining.
"The foundation raises funds and then invests it into the hospitals, so it is a very important arm of the hospital about value adding to what it has raised," she said. "A lot of funds they raised went to the Wimmera Cancer Centre, for example."
Mrs Lardner said money given to the Wimmera Healthcare Group Foundation was never spent, but rather invested and only the interest used to fund special projects.
"My understanding is that people feel it's a gift that keeps on giving," she said.
"So that the foundation always has a core of money, and donors feel more assured the money's not just going to be immediately used and then the foundation has to start raising money again."
The foundation was created in 1990.
Wimmera Healthcare Group - Friends of the Foundation co-ordinator Allison Roberts said the organisation would also host a fundraiser movie night on Thursday September 12 and an annual "Wines in the Vines" event at Norton Estate in November.
