Kealy is a lifelong Saint, having displayed a steadfast loyalty to his home club.
The skipper said it would make experiencing success even more special.
"This is the only club I've every played for, all through my juniors," he said.
"I'm working in Horsham now but I still make the trip over.
"I grew up on a farm between Edenhope and Apsley, so this my home club and it's certainly a place I love."
Kealy was at the club during Edenhope-Apsley's one and only grand final appearance in 2012.
He played in the reserves grand final that day, but said the excitement created by making a grand final was something he could still distinctly remember.
"You have the whole town come alive, the whole community, there's a real buzz around," he said.
"Especially in 2012, we had our reserves and senior side in the grand final, some netball teams too. The towns really get behind the club and the community support is unreal."
Kealy took the captains role from his brother Bernard two seasons ago, and has helped lead the side to another preliminary final.
After faltering in the 2018 prelim, Kealy said the side was desperate to go one step further this season.
"It hurts to lose finals," he said.
"Last year we had the goal to play finals and we made it through to a prelim. I feel like if we don't win this weekend we're not doing any better, we're only coming up equal.
"So that is our goal, to go another step further again - and obviously anyone that gets there doesn't want to lose once you're there."
Kealy said the buzz and excitement of a successful finals campaign would extend far beyond the playing group.
"It's more for the towns and the community," he said. "What some of the people at the club put in is a lot more than what we put in. The supporters and volunteers we've got are unreal.
"It's for everyone that jumps on board and gets involved to help around the club. For those that can't be playing, it's pretty special for them too."
