Wednesday night's 2019 Top Performance visual and performing arts showcase saw the work of dozens of students on display.
These included dances, dramatic monologues, songs, short films and artistic images.
Year 12 dance student Josie Thomas performed a solo routine incorporating the Last Post bugle call. She said the night helped calm her nerves.
"It was good to do it in front of a big audience for the first time," she said.
"I'm learning to deal with nerves through performing. It's also good to rehearse the dance in the way I'm going to perform it for the assessors, to put all my energy and focus into the intention I'm trying to portray."
She will attend a dance school in Melbourne in 2020. She was presented with the Katie and James Sawyer Top Performance award on the night.
Morgan Lane received the Gwenndda J Smith Fine Arts award.
VCE performance examinations will start on October 7.
