Acting Sergeant Kat Speakman said emergency services attended an area of the Henty Highway through the area just after midnight.
She said they found a car that had collided with a tree.
"State Emergency Service crews had to cut the man driving, the sole occupant, out of the car," she said.
"He was conveyed to the Wimmera Base Hospital for assessment of his injuries, which we have heard are minor.
"Inquiries are pending regarding the cause of the accident. Police would like to remind drivers to keep safe on the roads."
