The school is preparing for its second ever debutante ball on September 19 at the Horsham Town Hall.
A total of 20 students will take part in the presentation, performing three dances on the night.
The school hosted its first ball in 2017. Principal Matt Copping said it gave students a chance to try something new.
"When we had the first ball we decided to have one every 18 months to give each new set of students the opportunity," he said.
"Our students spend a lot of time at school and there's not a lot of opportunities to get out in the community presenting themselves. This gives them that chance to show what they can do to the Horsham community."
The theme for 2019's ball is 'fingerprints', which aims to highlight the students' unique skills and abilities.
"There's a quote that we have at the school that basically says 'every child is as unique as their fingerprints, a sparkling diamond of unparalleled beauty'," he said.
"We try to live by that - everyone is as unique as their fingerprints, and everyone has skills and abilities."
Instructors Jan Morris and Racheal Krahe are teaching students traditional dances for the presentation, including the Pride Of Erin. Students have been practicing once a week since the start of Term 3.
Senior student Michael Secombe said he wanted to do his deb to get out of his comfort zone.
"I've never danced in front of anyone before. I'm a bit nervous," he said.
Charlie Skinner is also doing her deb and said she was excited for Thursday night.
"This is the first time I've ever done this type of dancing. I thought it would be something different and cool," she said.
Bianca Lauricella is doing her second deb this year after taking part in the school's first event in 2017.
"I was really nervous the first time; now I have my confidence up," Bianca said.
"This is my last year at the school so I wanted to take up the chance to do it again."
Jackson Dickerson said he was feeling a bit scared for the night.
"I initially didn't want to do it and my mum wanted me to, but I've been enjoying it," Jackson said.
The 2019 Horsham Special School Debutante Ball will be at the Horsham Town Hall on Thursday, September 16 from 6.30pm.
Mr Copping said people could purchase tickets from the Horsham Town Hall website.
