More than 120 players, coaches, families and friends attended the end of season function which celebrated what has been the biggest year of the Phantoms Volleyball Club since their inception in 2011.
Heading the list of acknowledgements was men's premier setter Matthew Berry, who finished joint runners up in the MVP award and also received the coach's award.
[Coach Paul] Freckleton said [Jack] Hannan was a pleasure to coach as no matter what role he was asked to play, Hannan took on the challenge for the betterment of the team.
Coach Todd Broadbent was full of praise for his number one setter, as he bought great energy to the team each game, and always gave a hundred per cent whenever he took the court.
Next up was reserves awards with Jack Hannan finishing runners up as well.
Coach Paul Freckleton said Hannan deserved his award as he had improved significantly in both his skills and attitude in season 2019.
Freckleton said Hannan was a pleasure to coach as no matter what role he was asked to play, Hannan took on the challenge for the betterment of the team.
In women's reserves Cleo Baker also received the coach's award.
Coach Paul Byrne said Baker was a delight to coach and gave her all whenever she took the court.
The final member to be recognized was veteran spiker Tim Popple, who received the best in finals award.
Popple's men's division two team lost a marathon fiver setter elimination final and Popple gave his all impressing bench coach Andrew Zrna.
Games milestones were also recognized on the night with Popple and Nick Adamson chalking up 100 games for the club.
There were also 50 game certificates presented to Rebecca Allan, Delaney Wills and Kimberley Crabtree, with all three girls foundation members of the girl's program.
The next day saw Bendigo Volleyball Association host their annual junior tournament with Volleyball Horsham members Tamikah Dockrill and Laelah Robertson taking gold with their Victorian White team in the Open Girls division final.
The White team defeated the Victorian Blue under 17 team 15-13 in the deciding set with Dockrill hitting the winning spike, much to her delight.
