The brand manager for clothing retailer Black Pepper says it will open a Horsham store on Thursday October 17.
Sabina Moten confirmed the news to the Mail-Times.
"Having previously operated as a wholesaler we have in recent times made the business decision to control our own destiny and move into operating our own retail stores," she said.
"Based on the success we have had in regional Australia, it makes sense for us to be in Horsham to satisfy our customers from Horsham and the surrounding areas."
Monday: HORSHAM SHOPPERS will have another clothing store to choose from by the start of next month.
Coller Rathgeber Property Group principal Tim Coller said women's clothing brand Black Pepper had taken up the lease of 76 Firebrace Street, next to the former site of the Horsham Newsagency.
Mr Coller said the property had been available for "quite some time".
"Black Pepper signed the building documents in September after negotiations over the last few months," he said. "The store is currently undergoing a fit out ahead of opening on November 1.

"(The company) looked at a number of vacant properties in Horsham and they chose this one because of its location and suitability for the business experience it wanted to offer."
The Mail-Times has contacted Black Pepper for comment.
Meanwhile, the site of a longstanding Horsham retailer has been sold.
Landmark Harcourts Horsham owner and director Mark Clyne said a local businessperson purchased the former Freijah Menswear site at 50 Firebrace Street last week.
"They were looking to relocate into the main street," he said. "It will be good for their business being opposite the post office and having the extra foot traffic."
Mr Clyne declined to comment on the name of the business or how much the property sold for.
Horsham Real Estate director Nola Brown said October was a "fairly strong" time of year for potential commercial tenants to move into shopfronts.
"It means they still have time to set up before the Christmas trading period," she said.
Ms Brown is managing the lease and sale of 60 Firebrace Street, next to Audenes, and the lease of the former Cartridge World site at 2 Firebrace Street. She said 60 Firebrace Street had been on the market for almost a year.
"There would be more interest if it was tenanted," she said. "Most investors are from beyond the region and looking for a tenanted property."
