The man behind The Naked Farmer, St Helens Plains farmer Ben Brooksby, said the account was suspended a week ago.
"I contacted Instagram about it then, and didn't get any answers. Then I did a Facebook post last night calling out the situation and it blew up. Our community was really supportive," he said.
"Instagram contacted me today and apologised for the mistake saying there was an error in their system. It's good that it's been sorted now."
Mr Brooksby started the Instagram page in May 2017 hoping to raise awareness and start conversations about the mental health of farmers.
Mr Brooksby said it was disappointing someone had reported his account.
"It's disappointing and misses the point of what we're trying to achieve," he said.
"But at the same time, I know there are people out there with different views which I respect. But maybe they just shouldn't follow the account if it's not for them.
"The whole point of having these posts on social media is to bring the mental health of farmers into the public eye."
