Wetakemanhattan has won the 2019 Horsham Cup after a protest over interference on the home straight was dismissed.
Matt Cumani's five-year-old entered the race as the favourite, paying $1.80, but was pushed all the way by Stawell-based Barry the Baptist.
Paul Jones six-year-old held a slender lead heading towards the line, but was dragged in by Wetakemanhattan, who won by 0.2L.
As the trophy table was being carted out and the presentation due to begin, the protest was called.
There was a claim Wetakemanhattan had interfered with Barry Baptist 100 metres from the line.
Punters waited for nearly 10 minutes and the next runners started their preparations as stewards deliberated, before the protest was eventually dismissed.
The verdict gifted Matt Cumani's gelding his sixth win in just 13 career starts.
Paul Presuker's Arty Lucas rounded out the top three, and was closely followed by stablemate Stealthy Lucas.
Winning jockey Jordan Childs praised Wetakemanhattan after the race.
"He jumped well early and he just probably relaxed a little bit too well, so it took him a bit to get back up going again," Childs, who rode Surprise Baby into the Melbourne Cup, said.
"I was always quietly confident I'd get there. I do think he's a better horse if he can lead and get out well, but we still won today."
