In a statement on Friday afternoon, the authority said: "Repeated testing has indicated that the water in the lake is safe for recreational activities, including swimming, boating, fishing and other water sports.
"GWMWater will continue to regularly monitor the water in Lake Wallace, as well as other recreational lakes around the region," it said.
GWMWater had warned people to avoid the lake since October 25.
At Minimay, high levels of blue-green algae have been detected in Lake Charlegrark since mid-January.
Parks Victoria says the algal bloom is expected to remain until there is significant rainfall to flush the lake or cooler conditions.
