FAMILIES braved the rain to flock to Firebrace Street in Horsham on Friday night to soak up the fun of Kannamaroo.
The street festival celebrated its 40th year with music, dancing, rides, food, stalls and demonstrations.
The main street was closed to cars from 5pm but shoppers still wandered in and out of stores as they made the most of the Black Friday sale.
Some families came early to enjoy the event just in case the rain got worse, while others stayed around to catch a glimpse of Santa Claus as he journeyed through the street.
Kannamaroo festival coincides with Horsham's Carols by Candlelight for the first time this year, which will end the weekend with fireworks.
