The town's Sergeant Matt Currow said the incident took place "sometime between Saturday and Sunday".
"(All the damage) appears to be from the use of physical force," he said.
"The lock to the male and female toilets was damaged, paper towel dispensers ripped from the walls, tiles removed and smashed and redundant wires in the roof cavity pulled out and left hanging."
Sergeant Currow said the offenders also smashed external lights. He said the block sustained a total of $2000 worth of damage.
"It has been rendered inoperable until it is repaired," he said.
He said Nhill police did not have any suspects as of Monday night, and that anyone with information could contact them on 5391 1022 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
