The Bullants restricted their opponents to a below-par 94 and needed only 21 overs to claim an eight-wicket win.
Opening bowler Jordan McDonald was the best with ball in hand, finishing with figures of 4/8 off his allotment.
"I suppose it wasn't too bad," McDonald said. "I think I ended up with four (wickets) in the end."
McDonald claimed the early wicket of Colts' opener Jay Newell, before returning to clean up the tail.
The Bullants' quick bowled five maidens, but said he was helped by a City Oval pitch that had its demons.
"We bowled and fielded really well and the pitch really was a bit up and down," McDonald said. "You didn't want to play on the back foot, you wanted to keep coming forward. There were a couple of grubbers.
"(The ball) would shoot low and there were a couple that really took off on a length. It was interesting batting on it."
Colts' keeper Marc Thomas (25) negated the pitch best to help his side recover from 4/34.
Thomas was one of the final five wickets that fell for just 17 runs.
Bullants' openers Justtin Combe (23) and Kent Hair (42) set the platform that saw their side reach the target with ease.
The result saw the Bullants hold firm at the top of the one day ladder, equal on points with Homers and the Horsham Saints, but with a greater percentage.
On the other side of town, the Horsham Saints snuck home in a five-run win against Blackheath-Dimboola.
A half-century to Saints opener Corey Smith and a quickfire 33 to Tony Caccaviello saw the hosts post a respectable 177.
In reply, Blackheath-Dimboola looked in trouble early at 3/41 before Elliot Braithwaite and Michael McGough combined for a momentum-swinging partnership.
The visitors looked in control, needing just over a run a ball heading into the final five overs, before Braithwaite (62) and McGough (53) both fell in the space of eight balls.
Elsewhere, Jett Hopper (35) steered Homers to a four-wicket win against Rup-Minyip.
Batting first, the Blue Panthers were reeling at 4/20 before Dan Schaper (38) and Luke Fisher (21) helped the hosts reach 130.
It took Homers 37 overs to reach the target, with Simon Hopper (25) also making a vital contribution.
Laharum recorded a comfortable win against the Jung Tigers, with Ben Peucker (40) and Jack Parfett-Oliver (3-38) playing leading roles.
