Senior Constable Sam Noonan said the South Australian man, 55, was intercepted on Kelsall Street at 4pm on Sunday.
"He returned a reading of 0.162 which is more than three times the legal limit," he said.
"The man told police that he had been doing the Silo Art Trail. This is the first Winnebago I've come across drink driving."
Senior Constable Noonan said the man would appear at court at a later date.
