A full team of senior and junior representatives will take on eight other country regions at the three-day meet that kicks off in Mildura on Friday.
Wimmera team coordinator Sandra Casey said players from around the region had banded together to compete as one for the tournament.
"It's a chance to represent your region. The Wimmera really values that, and the team that we have is really excited to go," she said.
"We have team practices happening, and we have 12-and-unders right through to 50 plus there. It's really nice to have the senior players and the juniors players and have that support through the team."
The Wimmera team finished sixth overall last year, with one individual winner and five second-place finishes.
Casey held high hopes for the team that had been assembled to contest this year's iteration.
"In a number of age groups we've got the strongest that the Wimmera can provide. We had some really good results last year, which was the first time in a really long time that we've done well," she said.
"We've had training right through from the end of November. Our 12-and-under's have been completely dedicated to that because it's their first event.
"I'm hoping for some nice surprises."
The weather may wreak havoc, with the temperature forecast to hover in the 40s for the first two days of the championships.
"We're a bit better prepared because we play in the heat," Casey said. "It's just about making sure you hydrate often, are towelling down and doing everything you can to protect yourself on the court but also off it."
