On Wednesday, professional services firm KPMG announced Peter Gothard and James Stewart had been appointed voluntary administrators
Mr Gothard said in a statement: "Jeanswest will continue to operate while the Administrators conduct an urgent analysis of the business."
Mr Stewart said the business had been challenged by tough market conditions and pressure from online competition.
"The Administration provides an opportunity for Jeanswest to restructure so as to better respond to the challenging Australian retail market.," he said.
The manager of Horsham's Jeanswest store was unavailable for comment when the Mail-Times inquired.
The Jeanswest announcement follows EB Games confirming that 19 of its 334 stores nationwide will close by the end of January.
EB Games told the Mail-Times Horsham is not part of these closures.
