An Ambulance Victoria spokesman said paramedics were called to Wimmera Street at 3.30pm, and assessed a man and a woman on the scene.
Country Fire Authority District 17 Operations Officer Alfred Mason said three units from Dimboola were called to the scene, along with volunteers from the town's SES Unit.
On Friday, Acting Sergeant Gray said a 90-year-old man and a 91-year-old woman in one of the cars were taken to hospital following the incident.
"The woman complained of chest pain, a sore neck and a possible fractured leg," he said.
"The man driving the other car was in his 60s and not injured. Both vehicles were towed from the scene."
Acting Sergeant Gray said police would lay charges.
"It appears the 90-year-old man driving failed to give way at the sign on the corner of Wimmera and Church Streets," he said.
