A mix of old and new faces will join Horsham's University for the Third Age in its 32nd year of offering classes for the region's elderly population.

The volunteer-run not-for-profit staged its annual enrolment day on Thursday at its headquarters in Horsham train station.
Among the courses on offer were oil painting, Tai Chi, gardening and French. Film Classics tutor Karl Kaucner was the projectionist at Horsham's last drive-in cinema before taking on his current role. He said member numbers fluctuated across the year, but had steadily increased in the 19 years he had been involved with the U3A.
His wife Elizabeth said: "The classes get people out of the house mainly to socialise. People aren't compelled to come each week, but it's good when you see people that do, because what would they be doing otherwise? Just sitting at home."
