Barber claimed a miraculous four consecutive wickets in a match-winning performance against Colts in A Grade.
Colts were cruising at 2-83 on the back of a 74-run partnership between Bradley Couch (37) and Liam Jakobi (46 not out) when Barber returned to the attack for his third over.
Colts looked set to post a considerable Twenty20 total, before Barber sliced through Couch's gate to rattle off-stump. Barber then cleaned-up Nathan Koenig who attempted an ill-advised slog with his first delivery, bringing Damiano Boddi to the crease with Barber chasing his first ever hat-trick.
"I was thinking, just try to get it full, straight and as quick as possible, and for once it actually happened," Barber said.
"It was dead straight, hit his toes and I went up with a massive appeal. I wasn't sure if it was going to be given because it was close to his bat, so I was just like, 'I'm going up as big as possible here'.
"The umpire put his finger up and we all just went crazy, cheering and getting bombarded in the huddle.
"It was a dream come true."
And it didn't stop there. Colts' Ross Frew then came to the crease and was greeted by a peach of a delivery, pitching on middle stump and nipping away to find an edge through to first slip.
From an enviable 2-83, Colts had suddenly slumped to 6-83 in the space of four deliveries.
"The fourth wicket was probably the best wicket to be fair," Barber said.
"It was my best cricket moment by far, and my best bowling by quite a distance.
"It really changed the momentum of the game."
Barber claimed two more wickets not long after to finish with figures of 6-11 from his four overs. Colts finished at 9-102 and Laharum chased it down in the 18th over with four wickets to spare, with Barber (4) and Ben Peucker (19) at the crease.
While his first game's heroics could never be overshadowed, it was a different story for Barber in Laharum's second contest of the day, as a final-ball run out left the Mountain Men one run short against the Jung Tigers.
Jung set a target of 138 from their allotment, and Barber came to the crease at 8-108. After hard-running between the wickets got Laharum to within touching distance, Barber needed two from the final delivery to tie the scores.
He edged one down toward keeper Josiah Mock, who fumbled, allowing Barber to run a single.
But the Englishman couldn't quite make it back for two, as the Tigers claimed a one-run victory.
