Ararat Detective Senior Constable Mal Wineberg, of the Criminal Investigation Unit, said golf clubs, a log splitter and an air compressor were stolen from the Murtoa-Glenorchy Road venue at some point between Monday January 27 and 10am on Saturday February 1.
"There is no word at this stage on how the offender or offenders gained entry, other than they forced open a door," he said.
"We also don't have suspects at this stage."
Detective Senior Constable Wineberg said anyone with information could contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or Ararat Police on 5355 1500.
Attempted theft at Natimuk
Natimuk Leading Senior Constable Pete Mellington is investigating an attempted theft from a motorcar early on Monday morning.
"Around midnight last night, an unknown person entered a car parked at the back of a residence under a car port on Old Noradjuha Road," he said.
"They were frightened off by the occupants of the house when they turned on a light inside."
Leading Senior Constable Mellington said it appeared nothing had been stolen.
He said anyone with information could contact him on 5387 1280.
