Olivia Jorgensen and Tahlia Avery will serve as co-coaches of the club's A and B Grade sides, as the Roos look to return to finals contention.

The pair move into the roles left vacant by outgoing co-coaches Jodie Hayes and Danni Taylor, who will both stay with the club. Hayes finished fifth in last season's Hatcher Medal count.

Dimboola's head of netball Abby Greig was confident the new co-coaches would complement each other.

"Olivia is extremely keen (to coach). Tahlia was a bit reluctant to get back into coaching, but Olivia is very very keen," she said.

"Olivia has got a lot of experience playing down in Ballarat and Geelong. She's hopefully going to bring some different set-plays and an outside experience to the club.

"Tahlia is very good at analysing play and telling people what to do.

"I think they'll be a good combination."

At 19, Jorgensen will become one of the youngest coaches in the competition.

"Olivia is a bit worried about how young she is...but we've got a good combination of young and old," Greig said.

Jorgensen played all her junior netball with Dimboola and returned to club last season after a two-year stint with Redan in the Ballarat Football Netball League.

The goalie brings Victoria Netball League experience to the role, having played for the Geelong Cougars' premiership-winning championship side and division one outfit last season, alongside her Roos commitments .

Avery returns to coaching after spending time away from the game to raise her family.

Avery joined the Roos in 2011 and spent four years as the club's A Grade coach. She has also held coaching roles with the B Grade and 15-and-under sides.

Greig said the club was in the thick of preparations for the new season.

"Some of the girls have been doing pre-season and we're going to get into proper training this week," she said.

"We're getting there and numbers are looking OK at this stage."
