The program was instigated by the Horsham Hockey Club in partnership with Hockey Victoria, providing a qualified hockey coach and all required equipment to students to help develop a love of the sport.
The program swept through the Horsham Primary School on Tuesday, with sessions running for every grade across the day.
In addition, the Horsham Hockey Club is also hosting a come and try day on Sunday, February 16, before the Hookin2Hockey program begins.
Horsham Hockey Club's Launa Schilling said the come and try day was open for all sections: open, women, under-16s and under-12s.
"We would like to invite current, past and new members to come along for a great day including a free barbecue, starting at 11am at Dimboola Road Oval," she said.
