In Kaniva, the Car and Bike Show has been held. Vehicle enthusiasts travel long distances to display their possessions, usually immaculately restored, on the Recreation Reserve Oval.

Both events are held at the same time to support each other.
Coming up on March 14 is the Kaniva Big Town Garage Sale, with numerous households offering their items on the same day and at same time. This maximises the number of visitors to the town.
Henley on Lake Wallace has just held its 99th annual event. It began with a street parade before stalls and various activities on the foreshore took place.
The evening culminated with a large fireworks display over the lake. The activities have changed over the years, but the atmosphere of bringing the town together for a fun day goes on.
Next year the committee intend to make it an extra special day for the 100th celebrations. The Edenhope races are held on the Saturday of the March long-weekend. It is always well supported, and is one of the town's oldest organisations.
The Apsley Race Club uses the same track for its race day later in the year.
When the races finish, the Goroke Rodeo starts. Goroke Apex Club put on a very successful event in their town last year, and will be running another this year. If you like the wild side of entertainment, this is for you.
The following day, Harrow comes to life with the Billy Cart Championships, the Mullagh Cricket Match and various other events on the Mullagh Reserve. The cricket match honours the 1868 team that toured England, being the first cricket team from Australia to tour overseas.
Last weekend was the Lake Charlegrark Country Music Marathon. This is well known among country music fans and very large numbers attend, drawing people from long distances. With quality artists and a pleasant setting on the edge of the lake, a good time is had by all.
All these events are run by volunteers, who give up their time freely.
Every helper is congratulated for the part they play in making this part of Victoria a better place.
