Horsham CWA president Robyn Abbey said all groups in the region have decided to stop all organised events in the community.
"Our committee decided to cancelled everything - the CWA is effective closing its doors until further notice," Ms Abbey said.
"We're not young. A large percentage of our committee are high risk members of the community.
"That's not to say we're not here for each other and the community. It just means we won't be doing it under the CWA banner."
