Warracknabeal Police Senior Constable Charlene Baldock said he was intercepted on Rainbow-Warracknabeal Road at around 6.30pm on Wednesday night.
"His vehicle was impounded," she said.
"He will have to pay a fee over $1000 to get it back, and will probably be summoned for unlicensed driving."
Senior Constable Baldock said she had observed the communities of Warracknabeal and Minyip complying with social distancing measures brought in by state and federal governments to slow the spread of coronavirus.
"Everyone has really stepped up and doing what they are supposed to do," she said.
