While the joyful initiative has been popping up worldwide Horsham mum Nicole Fischer has collated a list of locations where people could find the displays in Horsham.
"I am just sort of doing it for people to be able to get out," she said.
"(In the group) I specify it is preferable that people drive (when viewing the trail) but if they go for a a walk they have to abide by the current (social distancing) rules."
Mrs Fischer said the response to her Facebook group had been good and about 20-30 homes in Horsham were participating so far.
"I think someone even posted on there that if you wanted to go out for a drive to Dimboola, there were teddies out there," she said.
Mrs Fischer said her four sons had been coping well with the rapidly changing situation.
She said they were also involved in a Wimmera Health Care Group program called Kindness With a Pen that connected aged care residents with children.
"The (children) can write letters and (WHCG) pass it on to the elderly in the homes and they can write back to them if they want," she said. "It's cute because people can't go and visit them.
"They've been writing the letters and adding stickers, writing the addresses and going to get the stamps at the shop - it's exciting because it's something these days children don't usually do.
"And they can't wait to get a letter back in the mail now."
