The amateur theatre group, which normally puts on two shows a year, had to cancel this year's production due to COVID-19, sending home 65 cast members from its postponed 'Broadway Showcase'.
HAC president Jessica Wilson said the show will go on, and is focusing on the silver lining of returning to rehearsals once the current restrictions are eventually lifted.
"Our message was: just have a pause and enjoy the break," she said.
"Rehearsing isn't something you can do remotely, and community theatre is all about being together anyway."
Ms Wilson described the sudden shutdown as "devastating" to her community of creatives.
"We're still trying to share the arts with the community. Social media is really powerful at the moment as a way of staying connected with everybody," she said.
"We're trying to create some content ourselves to put online to share with people."
"It gives people something to do as well. We're so keen to get our community back together. We will bounce back from this."
