How are you staying fit, both physically and mentally?
Do steps to go outside count for exercise?
I am continuing the activities I normally do, such as Probus newsletter, Camera Club online coordination, and contact with friends. I am also participating in tele-outreach with Red Cross, for those in quarantine, since it was started over four weeks ago. All of this can easily be done from home.
What's the one thing keeping you sane?
Going outside each day to photograph any poor bug, bee or bird that enters my yard.
Are you working from home? If so how's that going, if not what's work like for you now?
I am happily retired. All meetings I would normally attend have been either suspended or conducted via one of the many mediums for contact we have suddenly learned to use.
What's something positive you've witnessed or experienced since the coronavirus hit?
The way all of my friends have embraced face chat contact when it would never have been considered before this as a regular thing. This has been fun, well OK, quite a giggle.
What have you learned about yourself amid the crisis?
I am quite happy staying home. I miss my regular breakfast meet ups and yes, lunch and dinner as well, but they will start again as soon as we are able to. I need a haircut!
What's your advice for others to cope with the crisis?
Don't dwell on the restrictions. Look out for your family and friends and neighbours, especially those who might be struggling and/or alone. Keep busy.
