Maybe it's the quiet country lifestyle, or going down the street and knowing most people's faces, even at a distance.

It might be the strong sporting interest, or the proximity to lakes, mountains and more.

For many of us, it's the community spirit that shines through, no matter what.

And that's now the focus of a campaign to get Horsham on Sunrise.

The morning television show is doing an A-Z virtual tour of Australia, and Sallie Koenig is leading the push to have the city represent H, using the theme "Horsham helps".

"I just thought, there's so much going on in our little town to be celebrated," she said.

Sallie has asked people to share their good news stories from the city with her and Sunrise - and people have got on board. You can read a few of the good news stories, plus more about what's driving Sallie, here.

Sallie's own inspiration behind the "Horsham helps" campaign comes from Rachel Deckert.

The Bella Madre Photography owner can't work right now - but she's putting her talents to use anyway.

Rachel is visiting Horsham households, taking pictures of families on their front steps, in their gardens or on the verandah. She wants to capture some positive moments during the pandemic and bring some light to people's days. And she's doing it for free. The front porch photo trend has taken off across the country and around the world, keeping photographers from New York to Darwin occupied.
