Masterfully written and an utterly chilling account of the lengths that rich and powerful people can and will go to in order to protect themselves.
Big Little Lies on Apple TV. The book wasn't for me, but the production values, fashion and acting performances in this drama were outstanding.

I've worked from home a couple of days a week, I appreciated the novelty, but I was very pleased to hear the laughter of the children again at school.
I've learnt that people are more resilient than we expect. We all believed the worse about ourselves at the beginning of COVID restrictions, but we've (nearly) come out the other side with a better knowledge of our own abilities to cope with adversity, and an appreciation of how other people can cope with new and difficult situations.
Wash your hands! It has always been my mother's most useful advice, and if we can keep up this habit as we move to the 'new normal' we have a chance to avoid more colds and flu, and hopefully another pandemic, in the coming years.
