Statement from Victoria Police; Northern Grampians Crime Investigation Unit detectives arrested two teenagers today after letterboxes were allegedly damaged in the Stawell and Ararat areas. It is alleged a number of letterboxes were destroyed by firecrackers in the Stawell and Ararat areas between 26 May and 8 June. Detectives executed warrants at a London Road and Cahill Road premises in Stawell about 7.30am. Fireworks, drugs and ammunition were seized. A 17-year-old Stawell boy has been charged with possess explosive substance, criminal damage and other related offences. He will appear at a children's court at a later date. An 18-year-old Stawell man has been interviewed and is expected to be charged on summons.
