This year Horsham and Dimboola submitted their entries through Zoom due to COVID-19 restrictions preventing face-to-face judging.
Dimboola Tidy Town co-ordinator Chris Johnson said he was pleased with Dimboola's 10 finalists.
"We had some very good entries this year despite the challenges to get the entries in during lockdown," he said.
"With the use of technology, we were able to produce videos for the entries and meet the judges via virtual meeting software."

For the Community Award, the Hindmarsh Shire Youth Council has been nominated for the Travis Price Mural and the Dimboola Rowing Club has been nominated for their pontoon at the rowing shed.
Horsham Tidy Town committee chair Gillian Vanderwall said the judging went well considering the unprecedented circumstances.
"At first we were wondering how it was going to work online, but we are happy with our entries and excited to hear the results in September," she said.
Horsham has been nominated for eight awards and are also finalist for Victoria's overall tidiest town, having previously won in 2015 and 2016.
Horsham Agricultural Society have been nominated for the Young Legends Award and the Wimmera Hospice Care Auxiliary have been selected for the Social Well-Being Award.
Keep Victoria Beautiful chief executive Sabina Wills said they are currently having discussions with Beechworth - who won the Tidy Towns award in 2019 - about hosting the 2020 awards ceremony.
"We are still working on the final date for the awards ceremony due to the COVID-19 restrictions for public events," Mrs Wills said.
"Everyone took judging online really well and we were very impressed with the high caliber of entries."
