We haven't seen the same kinds of spike in the Wimmera - and we are doing a great job of making sure it stays that way.
Businesses are taking down patron's details, people who are unwell are staying home, social distancing rules are (mostly) being followed.
Even balloons were flying over Natimuk on Sunday, making for a stunning sight.
Some sports seasons have been cancelled as the risks and the costs have proved prohibitive this year, but they'll be looking for a better result in 2021.
Clinics across the Wimmera and Grampians areas have seen a six-fold increase in testing, so we are doing the right thing, checking out every small symptom, making sure we are OK.
As we look at the Melbourne hotspots we will be hoping that a "second way" doesn't wash over the state.
We can all play our part in preventing this, staying vigilant and making sure those around us are doing the same.
Fear shouldn't stop us living our lives. We just need to be careful.
And look out for the communities we love.
