The Bombers have re-signed senior football coach Gareth Hose for two more seasons, while Fiona Rowe has re-signed for another year as coach of the club's A and B Grade netball sides.

Hose said signing for two years gave the club some added stability, and that he was excited by the potential of the senior side.

The Bombers unexpectedly made the Horsham District league grand final in 2019 before adding several key recruits during the off-season, including 2013 Toohey medalist Justin Chilver and former Minyip-Murtoa coach Damien Cameron.

"After how this year has panned out, we're really keen not to let it go to waste," Hose said.

"We had a really good pre-season with the playing group and the recruits we had managed to get were really exciting.

"We're really keen to go around again actually and see where we can go as a group.

"Obviously making the grand final was a good thing, but we probably haven't consistently beaten the top teams yet. Hopefully that was going to be the next step in our progression."

Hose was hopeful the majority of the playing group would return in 2021.

Hose said while the cancellation of the season this year was undoubtedly disappointing, it gave some players the chance to refresh for next year.

"It might just be a good opportunity for guys to have a really good break," he said.

"For some of our list, it's been a blessing. We had some guys that had surgery, and some others with minor niggles that will now have 12 months to recover before we hit another pre-season.

"It will probably rejuvenate a few guys, and hopefully for our younger guys they can still be working on their strength and can come back with more mature bodies.

"I know with the enthusiasm that was around the group, I'm sure come pre-season we'll be able to pick up from where we left off."

2021 will be Hose's fourth year and third season at the helm.

Rowe meanwhile had taken the reigns from outgoing coach Yolanda Molineaux for the 2020 season, and said it had been a disappointment to miss out on her first season in the coaches box.

"I'm super excited to be given the opportunity to lead the girls again in season 2021," she said.

"It was a bit disappointing to miss out this year, but that's the way it is, and people's health is far more important than a game.

"We had a really good pre-season so I look forward to getting back into that."
