An Ararat man was sentenced to four months of imprisonment on Friday for a string of dishonesty offences across five months.

Dylan Sheen, 26, appeared before the Ararat Magistrates' Court via videolink on 16 charges, including possession of ice and receiving stolen goods.
Police prosecutor Luci Tribe said between October 19 and 21, $39,000 worth of stock was stolen from an Ararat clothing store on Barkly St, including skateboards, clothing and accessories.
Police received an anonymous tip in November that they would find the stolen goods at a house in Ararat north.
Officers executed a search warrant on a Murphy St house and saw Sheen attempt to flee through a side window.
Sheen was caught and was present with a co-accused as police searched the house.
Inside the house and an adjoining shed, detectives found more than $10,000 in stolen items belonging to the Ararat business.
In another incident, Sheen was a passenger of a car travelling along Murphy St on February 13 when he was intercepted by police at 1.30am.
Officers identified Sheen and searched the vehicle, finding numerous small plastic bags in the car along, $1110 in cash as well as 119 cannabis seeds in a small tin.
Under Sheen's seat officers found a small ziplock bag with 0.4g of ice.

He and the driver were arrested, charged and released on bail later that night.
In a third matter, an Ararat resident came home on February 10 to find a small window and a rear door left open without reason.
Police searched the house for evidence and found a latex glove near the home; forensics were able to reproduce a fingerprint within the glove that belonged to Sheen.
In a related matter, an Ararat resident came home on March 3 to discover a padlock was missing from a shed on their property.
The victim's boat and car were missing, and they contacted the police.
On March 31, during a routine bail check of Sheen's home, police found the victim's boat and trailer in the rear yard.
Sheen was not at home, which was a breach of his bail conditions.
On May 31, police were searching for Sheen in homes on Campbell St; he was found in a Blake St home hiding from the police under a blanket.
In an interview with police Sheen made no admissions to the charges; he was arrested and placed in remand without bail.
Appearing before the court in remand, Sheen spent 45 days in custody before Friday's hearing.
Magistrate Simon Zebrowski said Sheen had a long list of prior convictions that included 178 days of imprisonment.
Mr Zebrowski imprisoned Sheen for four months, taking into account his time already spent in custody.
He also fined Sheen $2000 and order the drugs and cash to be forfeited.
