Senior Constable Adrian Hoggett said sheep on Commercial Street sustained the damage on Sunday night and early Monday morning.
"One had its ears snapped off, one's head was split in half, and one was outside Aussie Ink Tattoo Studio," he said.
"The first two were outside Purple Starfish and the Kaniva Men's Shed. All three will need to be replaced.
"The shops the sheep are outside of pay $400 each to have them there, so that's $1200 worth of damage not including the time and effort by the artists that has gone into decorating the sheep."
"The town is not happy. it is ropeable."
Senior Constable Hoggett said there were no suspects at this stage, and anyone with infomration could contact him on 5392 2244.
