ASYMPTOMATIC people will no longer be tested for COVID-19 at Horsham's drive-through testing clinic.

The Wimmera Health Care Group announced that it would be testing asymptomatic persons on Sunday, but has since been forced to backtrack, citing a miscommunication with the Department of Health and Human Services.
Only people with symptoms and those deemed close contacts of a positive COVID-19 case can now get tested.
WHCG spokesperson Peter Miller stressed that people with any symptoms, no matter how mild, could still get tested.
350 people were tested across the weekend at the clinic. The previous highest they had recorded in a day was 52.
Mr Miller also thanked the staff, managers and Australian Defence Force for their work across the weekend.
"We're really thankful for the ADF because they have been very supportive," he said.
"They were also very impressed with the level of preparedness of the staff and operation in Horsham."
