Market co-ordinator Sue Exell said the July market was a success but at that time there were no COVID-19 cases in Horsham and cases had been declining in Victoria.

Mrs Exell said stall owners at the July market made a lot of sales and worked closely with the Horsham Rural City Council to implement safety measures.
"You could see at the July market just how much people appreciated having an event to attend," Mrs Exell said.
"We noticed quite a few Horsham people attending that normally would be involved in their Saturday sports which was great to see.
"There were also a few people that we didn't know, so with school holidays on they could have been from anywhere.
"We are now playing the waiting game to see what the COVID-19 numbers will look like as we get close to September."
