
Victoria recorded 627 positive COVID-19 cases overnight, the second largest rise in positive cases the state has seen.
It was also a slight decrease on the 723 cases recorded on Thursday.
Eight people also died across the last 24 hours, marking 112 COVID-19 related deaths in Victoria since January 1.
The deaths included two men in their 50s.
349 people are in hospital, with 37 of those in intensive care
The total number of cases linked to the aged care outbreaks was 928.

As of Thursday, there were seven active cases in the Horsham Rural City Council, two in the Northern Grampians region, one in West Wimmera, one in Ararat and one in the Southern Grampians.
There were zero in the Buloke, Hindmarsh or Yarriambiack shires.
