McDonald has been named in the Vixens' 12-person squad for their Super Netball league contest against the Collingwood Magpies.
The round one encounter begins at 5.30pm on Sunday evening.
The contest will be played at Queensland's Nissan Arena after McDonald and her teammates ventured north to escape Melbourne's COVID-19 lockdown and allow a season to go ahead.
The season faces a number of hurdles to be completed, with only six of the 14 rounds fixtured thus far.
The clubs are currently in hubs in south-east Queensland.
The last time the Vixens and the Magpies met was a semi-final in 2019, where the Vixens narrowly prevailed on their way to a preliminary final.
The two Melbourne-based clubs are forging something of a rivalry, and tomorrow's contest appears set to be another fantastic instalment.
McDonald, 20, will undoubtedly be hoping to get her second season in Vixens colours off to the right start.
